What are our ambitions in terms of energy and climate?
Vision of the municipality of Ivanjica: The municipality of Ivanjica is an energy independent municipality. Energy in the housing sector is used rationally, with the application of local renewable forms energy, energy-efficient buildings and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. One of the areas with the greatest potential for reducing energy consumption is the area housing sector. With the energy rehabilitation of this sector, it would be significantly reduced primary energy consumption and energy costs, but also improved housing comfort. According to the analysis of consumption and the local typology of buildings, the greatest potential improving the energy efficiency of heating residential buildings is in the energy field rehabilitation of single-family and multi-family buildings, replacement and reconstruction of systems heating and improvement of energy management.In order to achieve this, the Municipality of Ivanjica actively approaches solar communities in order to connect with other local governments in Serbia that will jointly improve the energy efficiency of their cities.

The municipality of Ivanjica is located in a very favorable geographical area with an abundance of natural resources that contribute to environmental protection and renewable energy sources. This municipality has the potential to provide conditions for improving energy efficiency and rational energy consumption.
